WHAT PREPAREDNESS MEANS TO ME COLORING CONTEST

This coloring contest is looking for illustrations of what preparedness for disasters and emergencies means to Kansas kids.  The goal of this contest is to increase the awareness of the need to be prepared for disasters and emergencies.  Any art medium may be used.

ELIGIBILITY:

This coloring contest is open to residents of Kansas in the age categories of:

Pre-K to Kindergarten
1st - 3rd Grade;
4th - 6th Grade;
 7th - 8th Grade.

Entry must be the original work of the entrant, may not have been previously published, may not have won previous awards, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other property, or other rights of any person or entity.

Entries MUST BE RECEIVED by 5:00 PM CST on September 27TH, 2013 to be eligible.

HOW TO ENTER:

 Mail entries with name, phone number, email and name of parent / guardian, and age / grade on the back to:

Entries become the property of the Sponsor to be used in publications and will not be returned.

SELECTION OF PRIZE WINNER:

The Contest will be administered in separate age groups as follows:

Pre-K to Kindergarten
1st - 3rd Grade;
4th - 6th Grade;
7th - 8th Grade.

 

PRIZES:

Winners will be selected on October 1st, 2013 and prize packages will be mailed.  Winners' names and artwork will be posted on www.ksready.gov in October and used for preparedness presentations and publications that are provided to the public at no cost.  Parents / Guardians will receive a release form to sign via email after winners are selected.

All entries will receive a certificate of participation.
