The mission of the Kansas Citizen Corps is to harness the power of every individual through education, training, and volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues, and disasters of all kinds.

The Kansas Citizen Corps is comprised of teams of volunteers in five areas:

The volunteers study, train, and practice within their team's area of specialization to support their community's medical, law enforcement, emergency management, fire department, and neighborhood safety.
